The stable saddled up 6 runners over the Friday 20th and Sunday 22nd July weekends racing, with the excellent result of three winners and two seconds. On Friday night the most consistent Denman gelding Lohnro Gold finally opened his account in race 5, a restricted maiden over 1000m. A model of consistency, Lohnro Gold had run three seconds and two thirds before staving off the late finish of two year old Street Blade, whom h was giving 7kg’s.
Purchased at the 2015 Inglis Ready To Race Sale for $40,000, the Gold Stable owned Lohnro Gold has now one over $109,000 in stakes, again highlighting the great prize money on offer in Singapore. The win also capped off a great night for Michael Rodd who had three rides for three wins.
On Sunday the Stable had two representatives in the Restricted Maiden over 1200m. Recent stable addition three year old Attention and two year old Uncle Mo, would fly the flag for the stable. After an excellent debut 5th, Uncle Mo had a significant weight advantage against the three year olds, and under the guidance of lightweight jockey Barend Vorster who sprinted away in the last 200m for a commanding win. The $40,000 Inglis Ready To Race graduate looks to have a very promising future. Attention ran a great second on debut and looks to have an excellent future in Singapore.
The third winner came by the way of the ever consistent 3 year old Kranji Gold. Similar to Lohnro Gold, he had racked up a number of placings in 8 starts in Singapore and got the nod in a thrilling 5 way finish. With his restricted maiden win, Kranji Gold who was purchased at the NZB breeze up sales for $77,500, has now won over $106,000 and looks to have plenty of wins in store.
